Weren't you just hoping they'd be caught in the fire and burn for trying to stop the matron from putting it out and blocking her out of the cell and messing with the fire extinguishers, and locking Mame up to make their own escape? That scene where they were moving the bunk beds so rapidly and they looked so sinister, they looked to me like a bunch of possessed rat terriers or something.

I have always found it ridiculous that none of the girls got scarred. Only Judy did. I understand why she was put in the situation, though. Somehow the girls were able to raise hell literally and flee without any scars or injury. The way they were carrying on - possessed rat terriers, as you say which is funny as I recall the movie in my mind - I was hoping they'd get burned. I could only imagine what backlash they received afterwards.
