better than expected, considering....

considering that this was the first or 2nd film for much of the cast. some sound and photography issues throughout, but i guess we should just be glad that it survived. Mary Eaton, John Weissmuller, Eddy Crandall, even Rudy Vallee all in their 20s. Sarah Edwards, Gloria's mom had the strongest role, and went on to have the most roles in Hollywood. Not bad. Plausible plot. Entertaining.

Unfortunately, the version of the film I watched was pretty degraded near the end. Most of the visuals were muddy, everything just sort of mushed together. The sound dropped in and out a little bit too, after the scenes with the tailors. Talking about a bit that didn't stand up to the tests of time.

So I didn't get to enjoy the pagentry of the end scenes as the producers intended.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
