The rockets ship lifts off from the moon. Helius looks up and sees Frieda standing there. She says, "What the hell are you doing here? I had decided to stay on the moon with Hans."

Yes, a lot more could have been done at the end, but it was a very long movie already I guess. Maybe a lot of the early stuff should have been left out.
