Surprised not to see comparison between this + 'That Hamilton Woman'

Surprised not to see any discussions or comparisons between this film & "That Hamilton Woman" (1941) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0034272 here on these boards.

I do not want to go into a point by point analysis I just thought some comments would be natural. Personally I enjoyed both films very much. Considering there was a span of 12 years, cruical years in the development and maturation of film production, and one was a silent film with a style all its own - I found them each special in their own way.

I was very impressed with the costumes, the sets/set dressings and the battle scenes. More so in the earlier version as I didn't realize how accomplished an early film could be. I guess I should include more 1920's films in my "To Watch List" as maybe there are many other early films that are just as beautiful.

Any suggestions????????????
