Coquette as a Silent?

Just watched this on my DVR after a TCM showing; I was incredulous at how mature the story is, felt it could have been done very recently rather than the Imdb indication of a 1929 production which I must challenge, as the big dance (card) showed the date as 6-16-28 and in the days of the popular actors making 8/10 films a year, cannot imagine that it took a full year to release. If as indicated by others, it is a retelling of an actual incident, I'd like to learn more but my PC is in its dying days and when I attempt to read comments, it goes blank. Nevertheless, I gave it a "9" and had no problems with the sound. But should it return as it truly deserves, hope it will attract an evening time slot and great watch.
