Slow motion photography

This film has slow-motion photography of sporting events.

The Riefenstahl German film of the 1936 Berlin Olympics also has slow motion images which are described as inventive. Did Russian filmmakers beat the Germans at that?

reply

Not sure how inventive it could've been because Jean Vigo had some scintillating slow-motion scenes in à propos de nice, and Zero for Conduct, and those were made in 1930 and 1933 so I guess the French beat them to it as well.
