This movie should be more famous

Not only underrated, but misunderstood. As Britain's first talkie, it had to bridge the silent and talkie techniques, and still hold up in the theaters. I really believe that only someone of Hitchcock's calibur could pull off this kind of transition so the viewers remain oblivious to it.

I saw it just now and thought it was amazing. All I know is i never got bored and was glued to the screen, which is hard to do, especially being a movie from the 20s

yes i agree, I own most Hitchcock films,, or have seen most,, and this one should be more recognized that it is,, it isn't say in his top 5 films,,, but certainly deserves more praise than it got.

I agree, though, I tend to prefer Hitchcock's B&W films over the 50's and later films. I'm probably the only person, though.

I know. It's definitely one of the better Hitchcock films out there. I'll take this film over Rear Window any day.
