KNIFE! blablabla...KNIFE! blablabla...KNIFE!!!
This was clearly the highlight of the film for me. Funny, clever and eerie at the same time. Genius!

shareI echo your sentiments. I imagine that being this first talkie in Britain, this was shockingly creative for all viewers. In fact, it may have even stirred a let down for films coming after (from all directors and not really Hitchcock) because they would expect something new and unique. Heh.
Hitchcock really was a genius from day one.
... Gadz, the woman that kept babbling about the knife was annoying..... and when she screeched KNIFE, too bad they didnt use the knife on HER...

I remember this scene from my childhood, decades ago. I never knew the name of the movie until today. Now I must watch it again!
shareYeah, it was my favourite part of the movie, It actually redeemed it for me.
I also loved how the clown painting showed up at the end when both men were laughing.
