Couldn't get into it

Now, I think I can appreciate certain silent films. I LOVE The Man With The Movie Camera, Un Chien Andalou, and parts of Faust and City Lights. I've seen Potemkin and Strike! and thought they were OK.

However, I netflixed this and I couldnt't get into it at all. Left the room after the first ten miuntues with it still playing. The images looked great, great shot composition, but nothing drew me in. it just seemed like a random montage, with some grabbing at themes of socialism and the working class and things. Anyone else have this problem?

It's a terrible film much like many of the propagandic lingering rubbish from Soviet silent cinema. Wholly unremarkable.

Cinema is the memory of life.
