This film needs to come out on DVD

For the attentionn of Time Warner or whoever else would be involved, please issue this movie on DVD. Garbo is superb in this film, and it is the last silent film pairing of her with John Gilbert.

There is a market for this film, believe me!

I agree! I have seen this movie three times since December (when I bought it from my friend in the USA) and love it! It is a great work of cinematography, magnificent performances (particularly from Garbo), and great direction from Clarence Brown. It is equally good as FLESH AND THE DEVIL, which was released on DVD in 2005. A WOMAN OF AFFAIRS should also be.

Cinema is a good way of escaping from problems and sorrows of life.

I agree. Now I've seen a couple of her silent films on DVD, I want more Garbo.

Renée Zellweger Best Actress Oscar 2006.

ohmygod!! Just saw this on TCM & I couldn't believe that the film is so compelling and just plain beautiful. It it any wonder that GG is (and will be forever) a film goddess? Is there anyone comparable to Garbo now? (Maybe Catherine Denueve or Isabelle Huppert.....or Renee Zellweger.)

It's unbelievable that this film was made one year before my mother was born. I might be GG's lost grandson ....

Her style was really beautiful in this one, so timely; it could be popular today.

I, too love silent films; I never missed the spoken word.

Garbo, Gilbert, and Douglas Fairbanks Jr. are all amazing in this movie. The cinematography by William Daniels is extraordinary. I wish this were on DVD.

someone posted a scene from it on youtube and used a few moments of it in a fan video. i'd love to get a copy of this, or for someone to post it up on youtube to watch
