I recently got that Region 2 version DVD, made in Spain, and the print quality is so-so. I mean, watchable but far from remastered, not even as clear as a Warner Archive Collection DVD. More like a VHS, so people who already own it on tape won't be getting any improvement by buying the DVD. I was expecting that I would get something of much better quality for the price I paid for it, over $30.

However, I really wanted to see this legendary movie, and there's one thing remarkable -aside from the brilliant performance by Lillian Gish and the movie itself, of course-, and it's the excellent score, which fits perfectly the plot.

I hope this and "The Scarlet Letter" will be "officially" released some time, at least via Warner Archives Collection.
