I've seen pictures of Chaney in makeup as the "Human Duck" -- later used by Browning for Cleopatra's fate in "Freaks" -- and was curious to know as to the context in which it was to have been used in this movie originally. Where did this all fit in? Chaney as a sideshow attraction for awhile before moving on to plot his revenge?

Just saw this tonight and there was a promotional image of Lon Chaney as the duck. But weirdly enough that scene wasn't in the movie I saw.

"Weirdness was all he cared about. Weirdness and sex and plenty to drink."

I think originaly Chaney would have been turned into a duck by a woodoo curse at the end of the movie or something like this.
