The music

I first saw this movie a year or so ago. Among other aspects of the movie that impressed me I was taken with the touchingly beautiful theme that recurs throughout, which was vaguely familiar. A few days ago I was listening to some CDs and realized where I knew the theme from, viz., the second subject of the first movement of Brahms's second string quintet (in G major, Op. 111). The two themes are not absolutely identical but the similarity is unmistakable. Of course it's not important or even significant — just a curiosity.
