Aah, Harold Lloyd ...

I can't recall seeing this Lloyd film before watching it last night. I was in an anxious mood last night and wanted something to occupy my mind but something that didn't require the sort of thinking that was making me anxious. Having recently acquired a box set of Lloyd's films I watched this, as the first one of the collection. What a joy! It was a pleasure to watch with many lol moments and wonder at how some of the jokes were done. When you can't speak creative ways have to be found to depict jokes so that the audience is included.

My sister and I as children used to watch Harold Lloyd films on the BBC and they were preceded by a theme tune that began Hooray for Harold Lloyd ... and we used to laugh and laugh when we watched him. Belly laughs that made sitting still difficult. It's sheer joy to re-experience some of that again whilst watching this film.
