Just a note of clarification – I hope!

Different sources have cited Young's age when this film came out as 13 and 15.

The movie premiered on April 14, 1928.

According to IMDb, Loretta Young was born on January 6, 1913.

If my math is correct (never trust a writer to do mathematics),
she was 15 when the film was released –
and probably 14 while some of it was being shot.

Some other sources say 1908 or 1909 are more likely DOB's for Young.

I agree her actual DOB is closer to 1908.

Saw this on TCM the other night.
Robert Osbourne said she was 14 when the film was made.
