Yes, it's a pity. She was such a cute little child and her performance was delightful... she should have been credited.

I have to agree with you. I just watched the movie for the very first time, and was wanting to know who was that cute and pretty little girl. Taking into account the year the movie was made and how little she was back then, she might even still alive!

I agree with everyone that the little girl was adorable. But the cynic in me couldn't help but wonder how they got such a very young girl to bawl like that-- that was no acting. I wonder what the ethical standards were for child acting in 1928. Maybe I should be clearer-- I'm not necessarily suggesting they beat the little girl or anything that drastic, but obviously she was genuinely very upset when Tito first finds her and tries to console her; I found myself musing whether, say, intentionally frightening a three-year-old was deemed acceptable practice.

You can do almost anything to make a baby cry. They cry all the time. You can literally just give them something and then take it away or just let them sit unattended for a little while until they want something. They probably just tied her like we see and then she immediately started crying. I would really guess that when Chaney finds her and immediately begins to comfort her, he is not just acting, he really is trying to comfort her so she stops crying.

Yes, she was a radiantly beautiful, and obviously talented child. It would be a shame if the information about her was lost in time.
