Toilet / NO Toilet!

The Trivia section for this movie here on IMDB states that this is most likely the first movie to show a toilet onscreen, and that for that very reason Louis B. Mayer hated this film.

Well - I think this is also the first - and only??? - movie to show little kids in the act of urinating behind a facade of some sort. When the family goes to the beach at Coney Island, both toddler-age children - the son and the daughter - make it clear that they have to relieve themselves (the son, especially, does that "dance" when kids are trying their best to "hold it"). The two kids - separately - run behind three closely spaced wooden posts and there is not doubt what they are doing. The father even reaches over to the help the son "finish" (zip up the kids pants?).

Anyway, I just thought it was particularly ironic that the presumably first movie to show a toilet in a bathroom also includes scenes of humans who are ridding themselves of body waste outdoors in the absence of any toilet.
