Saw This Last Night 4/19/15

Wow! I can't shake this film. It's cast its spell on me. I found this film thru Hopalong Cassidy. I collect B Westerns of the 30's and 40's. Eleanor Boardman was in a Hoppy, she's so beautiful I checked her filmography and found "The Crowd" (1928). There was no place to get a DVD. I kept looking and trying. It's taken a couple of years but I found a copy in London. It arrived at my house Monday or Tuesday I watched it last night (Thursday). Beautiful copy and the musical soundtrack is very good. The movie (should I call it 'Flicker'??) made me cry and cry. When John and Mary are at Niagra Falls on their honeymoon if you ever been in love, you know that feeling; like flying when you kiss. When they fought and John stormed out, only to return and Mary told him they're having a baby, oh the feelings they (John and Mary) expressed!! I've felt that. Then when their baby girl is killed on the streets of New York, the craziness inside John and Mary. .... Words realty fail me. I've never seen anything like it. ... Everyone should experience this film. It was made 90 years go but it's as current as right now.

I really admire people who do work like this. It will last forever. John

Sorry, I'm no good with numbers. Should say: Saw "The Crowd" (1928) 3/19/15. I saw it Thursday March 19th, 2015. I said the film is 90 years old, it's actually 87. Close enough for me.

It's a great one. John
