bit predictable but...DVD?

I really really want to see this film, anybody know if its showing in any UK cinemas or on DVD or video even?

Blame Universal.

I saw a fantastic print of this movie last fall at the New York Film festival. Normally after all the work that went into the restoration you would expect a DVD release to follow, right? Well, you can't assume that with Universal. They have the home video rights to just about all of the pre-1960 Paramount films. Universal has been the slowest of the companies to put out their golden age films on DVD, whether they were originally Universal or Paramount.

Universal doesn't hold the rights to Underworld. Paramount has the rights to all of their silent films. And I agree its criminal the way they continue to let great films like this collect dust in their vaults.
