94 or 173 Minutes?

I watched a version of this film on Youtube (it was great!), and it lasted for 94 minutes, just as the IMDB page says. Then, I found it on Netflix and it said it was 173 minutes. I thought it was a mistake, but I looked it up on Google and it was confirmed. IMDB does get many films wrong as far as the runtime goes (for example, Seven Samurai, Dances with Wolves, 2001: A Space Odyssey), but I'm confused.

I know that many silent films like Greed and Metropolis are incomplete and there are different restorations, some much longer and shorter than others, but I don't see how there could be any additional footage in this film, I think it was a perfect length.

Help please!?!?

Must be a typo. If you're still bothered, see if Netflix gives the distributor name and check if the DVD at Amazon or wherever carries the same version and lists the run time.

I have two versions, the movie tone is 93 mins and a Czech version which is 79.

This is your answer. They added up both running times for each version and rounded up.
