While the couple is drinking wine...

After the couple dances at the carnival, they sit at a table and drink wine. A visionary montage appears over and around their heads, but I can't understand what the images are. The images seem amorphous, or maybe my brain gave out after the emotional and sensory onslaught up to that point. Can someone please share their impressions?

They are cupids with violins, suspended on wires, being swung about by unseen technicians.
