Who Played Nellie?

I was reading the cast credits,but they didn't tell who played Nellie. Does anyone know who did?

For some reason they have her character listed as "Mabel" on the IMDB. By the way, did anyone else think Nellie was dislikeable for her actions toward her husband? During the climatic fight the film should've had Nellie staying on Corby's side of the ring instead of going to her husband. Then, after Jack smashes in Corby's face -- winning the match -- he could've said to her, "He's all your, BIATCH!" and walked off. Or is it just me who thinks that would've been a better ending? She deserves jack, not "Jack".

Ya! And what was with her note "I have to go somewhere where people treat me better." WHAT? You're the one who's cheating on him!

For some reason they have her character listed as "Mabel" on the IMDB.

When she receives the telegram from Jack to tell her that they'll be getting married the next day, it is addressed to "Mabel, Boxing Booth."

Where'd you guys see her listed as "Nellie?" I just re-checked the DVD and in the opening credits (and on her character intro later), it just states "The Girl."
And speaking of the girl... I saw her first in "The Farmer's Wife" and really liked her on-stage presence. It was quite a shock then to see her in this film as a two-timing floozy. In any event, its all just acting but what was really sad was when I read that she committed suicide in 1933 because she couldn't make the transition from the silents to the talkies. It would have been nice to see her in future Hitch films.
