Documentary or Drama?

October 1917 is listed as a Drama here at IMDb. Somehow I feel that this is more of a documentary. What do you think?

Well what we see is not archive footage but a re-creation of what happened with Eisenstein's point of view. I think you're right when you say that this is a documentary. Imdb is wrong : this is definitely not a drama.

- Who is God ?
- When you close your eyes and make a wish, God is the one who doesn't care about.

This is definately NOT a documentary. It is very historically inaccurate. It is a drama that was filmed to look like a documentary.

All of the events are staged, so I don't really see how it could be a documentary. Just being based on a true story doesn't make it a documentary.
