I heard that King Kong will be out in November. I guess to go kind of promote the newer King Kong movie. As for the other 2 (The Jazz Singer and The African Queen), I hear those are in the process of being put out on DVD but I couldn't tell you release dates on those.

Fred Zinnemann's Julia (1977) starring Jane Fonda is not available and so is Warren Beatty's controversial political drama Reds (1981).

Don't forget:

some Brando films including One Eyed Jacks (1961) and The Munity of the Bounty (1962). A dry white season (89) is coming out from MGM in Nov.
David Lean's forgotten epic Ryan's Daughter (1970)
some musicals including Stormy Weather
some Sidney Lumet films including The Hill (1965), Prince of the City (1981) and Garbo Talks (1984)
some lesser known Dustin Hoffman films including Agatha (1978), Straight Time (1978)
also, Al Pacino, most notable, Bobby Deerfield (1977), early 80s films including Cruising (1980), Author, Author (82) yet to be released and the bomb Revalution (1985)
Billy Wilder's final film Buddy Buddy (1981) which proved to be a pretty good comedy much better than the sometimes bleak Sunshine Boys (1975). i want to see that released. (spoilers) i love Jack Lemmon's pathetic suicide scene when his wife wont have anything more to do with him when speaking to him on the phone.

"One Eyed Jacks" is on DVD in the U.S. My friend has a copy that was purchased from a thrift store, though it is clearly a bootleg. I guess the VHS will have to suffice.

I went to Borders about a month ago and they had Julia on DVD.

I just got it on DVD from Amazon. Stalin (1992) isn't on DVD, neither is The Children of An Loc or Dr. Bethune.
