Did anybody else feel sorry for Monty? Betty just used him to get near Waltham. For me it detracted from the likability of Bow's character.

Yes, Betty used Monty, and the boss's fiance, who seemed to be a nice girl, was screwed over, but you know, the most important thing was that Clara Bow was extraordinarily cute, which was what the movie was about.
