I have the same question... where can I get a copy of this?
shareIt would be cool if they would release a deluxe CHICAGO (2002), ROXIE HART and CHICAGO (1927) DVD collection like they did with Bogart's THE MALTESE FALCON and it's two earlier versions, SATAN MET A LADY and THE MALTESE FALCON (1931).
shareI just saw the 1927 "Chicago" tonight at the Rafael Film Center in San Rafael, CA - with the live quintet Mont Alto providing the score. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first copy struck from the UCLA archive, and I doubt it's available on DVD (at least legally). The film, by the way, is fantastic!! It's sad to think about how many lost masterpieces from the silent era may be hiding out there, not to mention those that are truly gone forever.
shareFrom all reports, the UCLA archive is a treasure trove. Is there a reason that so much of their stuff seems to stay in their vault?

I am also very keen to track down a copy ... has anybody got any advice?
shareHope you're all aware that this great movie has been on DVD for a few years now, by Flicker Alley. The print quality, score and extras are superb.
