Is there any possible way to download this?

I know that this has been discussed already, but can anybody tell me where and if I can download this? I don't say BUY because I live in Paraguay, South America, and it's IMPOSSIBLE to get movies this old here, even shipped from the States. We have a horrible post service. I've read so much about this movie and since I'm an English teacher and we're reading The Scarlet Letter with my class, I'd really like to show them this film, or at least the 1934 version (which I also don't possess), but definitely NOT the 1990's version, which unfortunately is of easy access. If anybody has any idea, I'd be appreciative of your help!
Thanks!

What place in Paraguay do you live? I have studied Spanish and I love South American music (see my review of Las Aguas bajan Turbias).

Thank you very much for the download link. It was a wonderfully moving film. Lillian Gish radiates beauty, hidden strength and shows a wide range of emotions. She is matched note for note by an intense, dignified Lars Hanson. Their scenes together, whether in bliss or in woe so to speak, are very touching.

Gish has a unique face and style. The only modern-day actress in both style and expression I can compare her to is Isabelle Adjani, but that's just my opinion. Somehow, she seems to be timeless and channel deep-rooted emotions from bygone eras, because she has an intimate kinship with her characters, whatever the time or the setting. It's really rare for an actor or actress to come across so vibrantly in a movie made 80 years ago.

I would love to see this film in a version as beautifully restored as the Murnau films for instance, if such a thing were possible. I'm not sure if recent screenings have managed to replace the duped 16mm parts with the original negatives. If that's the case, that would beg for a DVD release!

Hi Prof Lostiswitz!

So sorry for answering such a long time later, I´ve been out of internet for a few months. Anyhow, thanks so much for the link, I´ll definitely try it out.

I live in Ciudad del Este, a relatively new city in Paraguay, near the Itaipu Dam. What type of South American music do you like? The best, in my opinion, that Paraguay can offer is GUARANIAS, invented by a Paraguayan named Jose Asuncion Flores. If you haven´t heard some of it already, I suggest you try to download some, maybe in ares, you won´t be disappointed!
