Terrible Editing Yet Fascinating

Perhaps I am the only one with this opinion, but the editing of this film was choppy at best. I found the film confusing to follow, especially the scenes where various characters were either running around the streets, jumping into rivers and so forth.

I was fascinated by the film, however, as a picture of history, a view of its time. This movie was painful to watch at times, but I am glad I sat through the entire length.
