'If you wish to see strange things I have the power to show them to you.

Yeah...the faun visions were trippy, but if he truly wanted to show her something strange, he could have just continued to be himself.

He reminded me a lot of Clarence Williams.

Yes, I also thought Wegener was the spitting image of the fellow from "The Mod Squad" TV series, Clarence Williams the Third.

Wegener's line, "If you wish to see strange things, I have the power to show them to you," is one I must remember as a means for seduction. Rating right up there with, "Would you like to come up to see my etchings?"

The fantasy sequence that accompanied this line was very inventively done.

He reminded me of the golem.

Good for you! Somebody's awake! He was the original Golem (1920). He also was in the earliest version of Student of Prague. Paul Wegener.

"Good for you! Somebody's awake!"

Thank you! But I can't really take credit for that. In general, I have a sieve-like memory (still don't know my husband's cell phone number after 8 years) but when it comes to faces in movies, I'm blessed with phenomenal recall. I saw Wegener in The Golem way back in 1991 and instantly retrieved that memory last night.

Also, Wegener had a really striking appearance, making him less easy to forget.
