Nice movie; terrible print DVD

How come that Louise Brooks, one of the most iconic, exciting stars of the silent era, doesn't get a decent boxed set of her American movies yet? Is it a copyright thing, or something of that sort? Only her German movies -as well as The Show Off- got a decent release, while others as this one are barely watchable... I can't believe Paramount or others didn't devote a boxed set to her (or Clara Bow, BTW).

The version I purchased was released by Grapevine Video; the only other option is by Classic Stream Videos, which I don't think must be any better, according to my own experience. Most scenes are too bright and literally hurt the eyes. Not a single attempt of restoraration was done, apparently.
