June - Daisy (A mannequin)

Anyone else confused by the credits?

Daisy a mannequin? What's that all about?

reply

Today "mannequin" means a dispay dummy in a clothing store, but in the 1920s and 30s, it meant a girl who modeled clothes for customers in a dress designer's studio. We'd call her a "model". And like today's models, it was considerd a glamorous job that attracted beautiful girls.

Four years later -- Thank you for the clarification. I'm watching the movie tonight and was curious too.
