Yes, and her sister Constance also had her own eponymous production company that was run by Norma's husband. After the talkies killed their careers, the Talmadges sold their shares of their companies to him. He and his new partner, Darryl F. Zanuck, then reorganized the company and renamed it 20th Century Pictures, Inc.

(He took the name for the new company from the New York Central Railway's luxury train -- the 20th Century Limited -- which he regularly rode between New York and Chicago. He adapted the train's logo as the production company's new logo, turning it into a 3-D hilltop monument viewed from an angle with searchlights sweeping the sky. You can see the train's logo on this matchbook: http://d3vui3t7cisnc8.cloudfront.net/img/full/2012011604F145CF52564D_0001.jpg. The production company's original logo can be seen on this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOj84eCkp4k.)

A few years later, William Fox's company -- which consisted of a complete studio, distribution company and theater chain -- went into receivership, and 20th Century Pictures was able to buy the entire company for pennies on the dollar. This changed 20th Century Pictures from a mere production company into a full-fledged studio. Meanwhile, the Talmadge sisters -- whose work created that production company and made Joe Schenck a wealthy man -- are all but forgotten today.
