Pabst or Fritz Lang ! She is great in The Joyless Street and Grand Hotel (Edmund Goulding), for sure !

Do you really believe Clarence Brown can hold any comparison to Pabst ? No he can't he is on of the worst Hollywood director ever, along with Fred Niblo. The fame of theses directors is zero, world wide. Pabst fame is immense and deserved.

So yes for a students researching about Hollywood's early endeavor to make money it's a subject of interest.
