I was quite startled to see her disappear under the water. Looked dangerous to me. I've watched the scene again and it's definitely Garbo playing it. Very convincing, very well executed, IMO. Anytime a movie can make me catch my breath like that scene did deserves my applause.

Yes!!! OMG I'm glad I'm not the only one, this may have been the first Garbo movie I've seen in its entirety to so I feel ill always have that imagine of her falling in the ice in my head. Thought it was quite powerful.
