is there any good soudtrack out there ?

hi, is there any good soundtrack out there that can be fitted with the domestic version, just like the timothy brock's one do fit with the already known export version (kino) ? because honestly, the stan ambrose harp score dosn't really go well with the movie, the art zoyt band's one is... well not eally suitable for that kind of movie neither. does anybody know where to find a good sound track for the domestic version, just as good as the one with the export version (and not a cheap copy of that same soundtrack that way not adaptable for the domestic version) ?

thanks to answer

ok, so it's only taken a year to get an answer, yes there's a brilliant soundtrack by a musician called Geoff Smith on the hammered dulcimer (kind of like a piano without keys that you hit the wires directly with small hammers) i had the pleasure of seeing him perform it live in Sheffield (U.K.) years ago, he's done a recording of it which is available for free download at http://www.dulcimer.co.uk/music.htm. enjoy

Thanks for suggesting this soundtrack. I saw this movie yesterday on Norwegian Television, running approx 106 minutes, with French cards instead of the original German and it was clearly restored.

I found it absolutely breathtaking, and the music was much of the key to this as it capitavated the surreal sequences, and how it skewered and went sour when something evil was about to happen.

I have found out the distributor is Films Sans Frontiers...and obviously a French or French/Canadian restoration and the music was modern, but not elektronic either.....The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation has so far not been very helpful. so could this be the music?

I am unfortunately unable to download from the site you suggest, and all attempts to find it on YouTube was in vain, but this is the version I want to own, despite the French lyric cards because of the music.

So do you or anyone know whether there has been an official release with his (possibly ) soundtrack?

Because there was no harp, and no orchestra, and not quite electronic either, but oh so magic!

Thanks again

This one from your link is okay but the one that is really breathtaking and that fits perfectly is this one:

It's Kino's version, right?

I just watched the Eureka Masters of Cinema BD 107 minute domestic release with the orchestral score by Timothy Brock, so it's not just for the export. In any case, the score was fantastic! Complemented the film excellently, and even enhanced it. Agreed the Ambrose harp score seemed to have nothing to do with what was going on on screen. I have a feeling that watching the film with that soundtrack would impact my enjoyment of the movie. There is also a new piano score by Javier PĂ©rez de Azpeitia which seems great. I'll have to listen to that track next viewing. ---It wants no straps. - Karlhttp://www.imdb.com/board/bd0000024/nest/158601447
