New, restored DVD in the UK next year from Masters of Cinema!


Eureka, through their "Masters of Cinema" series, will be releasing the same restored version that the Spanish DVD contains, but with English subtitles, more extras, different packaging, etc. Expected to be released in February-March of next year.

Here is a visual comparison of the Spanish, Kino (R1, USA) and old UK DVD:

As you can see, the Spanish DVD is unequivocally superior to all previous transfers.

I would just like to add to this (old) news that the DVD is out and it is fantastic. The transfer is amazing and it's packed with extras. The DVD is R0 so those with R1 player can play it. It is by far the best version of the film. For DVD Comparisons see:
