Just wonderful!

Exit Smiling just earned a place among by silent favorites. Thanks TCM!

Immy: Could not agree more and Beatrice Lille is a comic revelation. She handles sensitive pantomime with the adroitness of Chaplin or Keaton and then moves too broad physical humor like Lloyd without skipping a beat! Pity She did not make more Films (Silent & Talking). Not a great beauty, but attractive with a strong sexual presence. That was well in evidence in the last reel of EXIT SMILING.

obrienmundy; I bet there is a-lot more of these hidden gems in the TCM vaults. They should double up on Silent Sunday Nights and move the international films to Fridays.

obrienmundy; Right where they belong at 02:00am Fridays!

I love it, too, and have owned a wonderful copy on DVD since the other year. For anyone who isn't aware that this endearingly hilarious Silent is available on DVD, following is the Warner Archive link for it:

http://shop.warnerarchive.com/product/exit+smiling+1000179542.do?sortby=bestSellers&refType=&from=Search

The same release is also available via Amazon.com:

I always opt to get all my Warner Archive DVDs (now several) directly from W. A.
