This movie has to be released on DVD. I was hoping it would've been out for its 80th anniversary two years ago, but of course nothing.
Does anyone have an idea of when this should be released, either by TCM or Warner Bros? TCM shows this once in a while and the film appears to be in fantastic shape.
Warner Home Archives has just released this film as a "burned on demand" DVD-R title. Alas, no shipping outside of America, but at least it's now officially available.

The film is certainly worthy of HD treatment. Today it's mainly remembered as the first film with a synchronized sound track, but it's an excellent film in its won right.
