Did I miss the depiction of the

(Spoiler here.)... Resurrection? NO, it wasn't included. 'He will live on in the hearts of men' isn't really the full story of the Christ. Oh well, Hollywood does what it does. Great film up until then.

Don't blame Hollywood on this one. None of the Ben-Hur versions (novel, '25 and '59 version) covered the Resurrection.

Okay I'm just sorry it was left out.
If God can heal in the film why can't He rise from the dead--at least according to the Bible?

It isn't in the original novel, either, which ends with the crucifixion and then a short postscript that takes place five years later.

If anyone is interested in reading the novel online, it's here as a free e-book:http://www.gutenberg.org/files/2145/2145-h/2145-h.htm

The story ends pre-Resurrection. So, it's not a problem that a depiction of the Resurrection is left out. It's what happened next. This particular movie is primarily to tell Judah Ben-Hur's story. Paralleling it, but secondarily, is "A" (as opposed to "The") tale of the Christ.
