A moving experience

This film is kind of old fashioned and moralistic even for its time and maybe Hart's acting is a bit over the top in style. Even so, he has an intensity that is compelling. But the greatest thing about the film is his magnificent horsemaship exhibited in the land rush scenes. Ramrod strait and stoic in the the saddle. That he did these long tracking scenes when he was approaching 60 is nothing short of remarkable.
But most moving of all on the DVD is his unforgetable farewell to film making. "The thrill of it all.".
