A great movie and what a Lon Channey entrance!

I saw it last night on TCM and it is a great horror/comedy movie and in fact is more comical than horror. Lon Channey doesn't appear until about twenty minutes into the movie but what an entrance with TCM having great background music as usual.

Actually I didn't care for a lot of the music. It seemed out of place at times. I guess it bothered me less as the film progressed - whether that was due to being engrossed in the story, or the music getting better, I don't know!

Otherwise, I really enjoyed it and hope TCM will run it again.

I'm glad so many lon Chaney movies survived,as most are in good condition and he was a great actor. This one has great atmosphere, good sets, and a much more innocent "horror" movie compared to todays standards.Enjoyed the comedian Johnny Arthur in this,he had a very expressive face.Chaney's assistant looked too much like a genie in this....
