"Gone With the Wind" was made three years later at MGM and the Tara set was built especially for the film after numerous old sets (the gates from King Kong, etc.) were burned down for the "burning of Atlanta" sequence which was filmed before the sets were built or even casting for Scarlett had been finalized.

The mansion from The Little Colonel was also used for The Littlest Rebel and in the 1940's in Something for the Boys. It was most likely on the old Fox back lot.

It was created on the movie studio lot, just as the one in her movie "The Littlest Rebel".
