Can I get a DVD-R made from the laserdisc? I prefer the 140 min version

I actually HAD the laserdisc, but threw it away with all my other laserdiscs before making a DVD. I made a DVD of the Criterion laser of The Magnificent Ambersons, but not Greed. Any one with a DVD-R? If so, name a price. Thanks.

There are a few copies of the LD on sale at www.lddb.com, costing $30 to 50.

Thanks, but I got rid of my player as well.

I don't know if you noticed, but TCM showed the 130min version last night. I was surprised. I thought it was a misprint on the listing. I watched it, and it was indeed the short version. Surprising because TCM hadn't shown it in many years. I recorded it, so if you want it let me know, by PM if you prefer.

Dear Moviemadness, I don't have cable, so yes, I would be interested in a good-looking copy of the short version of Greed on DVD-R. I'm also assuming that it would look better and sharper than my old laserdisc. Here's my e-mail address: [email protected]

Long shot, but does does anyone have a TCM recording/laserdisc rip of the theatrical cut? I've seen the reconstruction and been looking for the theatrical, but all I can find is the horrible Italian VHS. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a copy on DVD+R made from a VHS, message me if you would like a copy.

It's the 2 H 13 M version.

If anyone is interested I found the 4 hour version on Vimeo. It looks authentic.
