Is there a restored version of this movie available on DVD?

I've just finished watching this movie on a DVD copy that has overall poor picture quality, and with a "score" (spliced-together parts of Classical music movements) that's poorly suited and that detracts from the viewing experience as the music is uncomplimentary to both the action and the mood.

I've checked Half.com and Amazon.com for available restored versions of "The Eagle" on DVD, with new customized orchestral score added, though found nothing offered that fills the bill.

Does anyone know of an excellent restoration of this movie, with new score, available on DVD? If so, I'd love to hear about it. Thank you.

There are all sorts of versions with all kinds of scores. Most of them don't even bother taking the 'music by' credit at the start of the film...

Which version do you have? The version that I downloaded from a torrent was restored by Karl Malkames and the Theatre Organ Score is by Lee Erwim, it has a blue background for the credits at the beginning and end, and is a Paul Killiam Film Classic Presentation. I personally didn't have problems with the core, I thought it complimented the scenes quite well actually.
