Three Lions

Just seen this for the first time, really pretty impressed. Not all films from this era that are considered classics really hit the spot for me, but this is impressive by any standards.

Just got to say though that there was one scene that made me laugh out loud, possibly inappropriately. When the Potempkin turns it's guns onto the opera house, as the massacre unfolds, there are three lions shown whose expressions were priceless in the context. There is a clip here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29GXaXnVdA8. Basically goes from slumbering, to 'Hmm?' then 'WTF!!!'

Priceless! Can't figure out whether this was supposed to be humourous or not, but did feel slightly wrong to laugh at that moment.

I loved that scene, yes definitely has a humourous side to it. My favourite sequence is probably the sailboats flocking to the battleship to bring food to the sailors.
