I just stayed up and watched this for the 3rd time. That final scene always gets me. The intricacy of the finery was amazing. And you know the most amazing part? The reflections in the water during the bathing scene and the boat scene -- made of little scintillating bits of paper! Lotte Reiniger was a genius!!

Yeah I just watched this film for the first time on TCM and thought about all the work put into making a film like this. The result was something very beautiful and special.
