We watched this amazingly remarkable film in my FIlm Analysis class just this afternoon and I have not been able to stop thinking about it all day! I think after I post this I might watch it again on Amazon Instant Video haha.

This was the first work of Buster Keaton I've seen (aside from a few clips from College) and I've got to say that I'm hooked. That motorbike sequence and the change in background during the film-within-a-film just floored me. Especially given that it was 1924 at the time of production. And to think that Keaton did his own stunts!

I guess there's not really a point to my post other than to express my admiration for the film to other fans haha. I wish more people my age would at least give the classics a chance, because I'd much rather talk about some of the cool sequences in Sherlock Jr. than gush over whatever Michael Bay has blown up lately. I've got a handful of friends who are pretty decent film buffs, though sometimes it's like pulling teeth to get them to watch anything from the silent era :/
