I haven't seen this movie at all but the stills look facinating and I want to buy a copy. I was going to buy the Kino copy for US$30 but found that there is a cheaper Asian version (authentic) release for only US$10. I'm ususally a bit suspect about cheap Asian versions but the first hand seller is very reputable and I know they don't sell bootlegs. I've looked up the details for both versions and they are of same length. For those who own the Kino version, does this have 'removable subtitles'? The cheap US$10 has 'non removable English-subtitles' and 'removable Chinese subtitles'. I'm not even sure if the English Subtitles are original inter-titles or if they've only been added in for the DVD. Can anyone help? What kind of subtitling does the Kino have? Thanks!

I bought the cheap version you mention and it's identical to the Kino except for the packaging and special features. The intertitles are the same in both versions and are non-removable so it will be in English. I don't think they're original as it's a German film but they look authentic in gothic-style lettering.
