The Women

were just plain horrendous. I guess that was the bridegrooms aunt who came to visit at the hotel, and left him humiliated. Then the other women gossiping and ridiculing him. Just shameful. Their husbands most likely had menial jobs too. And his own niece seemed to shun him. Poor guy just couldn't get a break. Although he probably wasn't fit for his doorman's job anymore, and showed up to work with a massive hangover, so probably couldn't have performed the days duties. It appeared he also had mental problem which caused him to go into trances.
