Well, I liked it - a lot!

The review on the main page was less than flattering about the movie and everyone in it. According to the title the 2 out of 10 score was for Colman even though the author says this was his worst film.

That's one person's opinion but I disagree. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It was a lot of fun to watch and, I thought, worth the time. Perhaps the reviewer was expecting something different because of the title. If a movie with that title was made today it would probably be very raunchy; very explicit. This movie was risqué but in an innocent way. It was reflective of the time in which it was made.

Most people back then did not drop into bed with the first nameless stranger they met. It was way, way, way, way, way, before my, my parents, and even my grandparents time but, in that regard, I miss those days. Don't get me wrong; in some ways we've come a long way and I love living in modern times, but certain things back then were better in my opinion. I am not a fan of all the blatant promiscuity that goes on today both in life and in the movies.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]

I am watching it now. I have never seen any of Constance's films. I think her sis was married to Buster Keaton. However I do like silents. I agree with you regarding young people and their careless attitude towards intimacy. I do not understand this current shaming culture. I was a young adult in the 90's and remember the fear on contracting AIDS. Casual sex was a no no for me. There needs to be an awareness of using precaution and common sense again.
